Narendra Modi calls for Congress-free nation
Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi on Saturday tore into the Congress-led UPA over Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and dynasty politics, saying the country needs a "Congress-mukt Bharat".
Hitting out at the Congress the Gujarat chief minister said, "The Congress kept playing with the emotions of the people, but it has never given any solutions. Our soldiers were beheaded, but the Pakistani prime minister was served chicken biryani."
The BJP leader further criticised the Congress, saying its moto has now become, 'mar jawan, mar kisan' instead of Jai Jawan Jai Jai Kisan coined by former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Need law to enforce manifesto promises: Modi
Addressing a mammoth rally at Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh amid huge chaos, Modi spoke about "2014-the age of Congress-free India" and hi out directly at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi saying, "Rahul says Narendra Modi is an ideology. Yes I am proud to be born out of an ideology. Our ideology is to put the nation before the party. You (Rahul Gandhi) can't compete with this ideology. Let us free ourselves from dynasty politics."

Modi also claimed that the one-rank one pension scheme was first mooted by the NDA government and said the Congress was trying to take credit for the same. Modi will later address a rally in Chandigarh.
